  • Description: The primary thing to understand about this book (and its predecessor, It Usually Begins with Ayn Rand) is that it is not about Ayn Rand. It is a satirical (and at least partly fictional) memoir of the author's involvement with the libertarian movement. Dialog is invented, events are exaggerated, etc., for the purpose of lampooning various people and political movements, sometimes including Ayn Rand and Objectivism. In this book, Rand's only appearance is in the first chapter, where she appears to Tuccille in a dream. A later chapter includes a brief discussion of Alan Greenspan.
